My Anchor..

Two girls born, with two separate souls,
However, the girls are two halves, of a whole,
That’s what it’s like, being an identical twin,
She may be far, but she’s always within,

Complete opposites, like chalk and cheese,
We have felt trauma, & fight the same disease,
We fight the fight, not alone, but together,
And I’m there for her, whatever the weather,

She is my anchor, to remain strong,
She use to hold my hand, when the nights were long,
Scaring away the monsters, at the bottom of the bed,
“They won’t hurt you”, she once said.

She will always say, she got the brains,
I’ll just laugh, proof of this still remains,
We talk, we fight & we always disagree,
But she knows, I’m there, & she’s here for me,
