I’m not perfect…

My writing has taken
A different theme,
Lots of criticism
So it seems.
Comments & mail
For poor wording,
Grammar,
& punctuation fails.
This is an issue
I’m going to address,
I never write to please
This is the way, I express,
Writing my life
On to a page,
Won’t be perfect,
And never staged.
Like I said before
I’m not a writer,
This is my therapy choice,
The blog of a survivor.

I, for one, really enjoy your style. Don’t let the complainers get to you 🙂

    • Thank you, I’m glad you enjoy, I’m ignoring majority of the emails, it’s getting emails from people demanding to change my layout and wording, and when I carry on publishing as usual, I’m getting even shittier emails for not listening to them. Not like I’m bothered it’s my blog, if they don’t like they don’t have to follow x

  2. It’s entirely yours. I know my blog has a kazillion errors, but I’m not trying to write a dissertation to get a PhD, so I’m not too concerned. If it’s your therapy, so be it!
    Personally, I love it! ❤

Are you serious? Have people been bitching about your poems?? What is the world coming to!! I am so sorry this has happened lovely. I LOVE every poem you publish. You are a special survivor soul, don’t let them penetrate your protective walls-keep em out, where they belong xxx

    • Aww thank you, and yes I’ve kind of given up responding on emails now, only so many times and so many ways you can tell the same person to piss off, haha, and no one can bring me down so all is good xx

I’m glad that you put this out on WP, even though you’re handling the critics ok emotionally, it doesn’t hurt to tell them to shove off in a blog post haha :0 xxx

      • Haha I am fine, it’s doesn’t matter what people say I find it rather amusing, and actually honored they took time out there lives to wasted on messaging me. And people have no right to judge another person, or try and bring them down. So I’ll let them email it will give me a good laugh x

It makes me angry that there are people who’d criticise you ….. anyone who criticises your grammar, punctuation etc is totally missing the point! Ignore them, you’ve enough people who love what you write and don’t nit pick. Hang in there and try not to let it get to you (I’m sure you’ll manage not to, as you come over as someone with great reserves of strength to call on). Anyway, it’s your therapy and if it helps you, who cares, and what does it matter, what anyone else thinks? xx

    • Thank you, yes only at work do I want my grammar to be picked up on, but my blog is my own so it won’t be perfect and it doesn’t bother me, thought I do a blog post instead of responding to the emails, kind of get my point across without wasting energy. Anyway thank you for your support xx

Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s art. It’s subjective. We have the freedom to read what we want to, but never the right to tell someone how to create. I support you as your are!

  7. You’re kidding me!!! Tell me this is poetic exaggeration!!! If these people took the time to read your comments they know you’re conscious of this and you’ve stated before this is a release for you.
There’s constructive criticism and then there’s just being mean. Tell me who those people are and I’ll send the cheerleaders after them!!
This has really annoyed me, your poetry is brilliant it always stirs something in the reader. Your style should be envied for its ability to captivate!
See this is why I hate people. I hope it hasn’t gotten to you, you my dear are awesome 💖 It’s great to see you’ve turned this annoyance into something rather pretty!

    • Haha I wish it was an exaggeration, Ahh, I get a lot of constructive criticism and then I get some absolute dickheads trying to be little me, which never works, especially since half the time there emailing about my grammar or wording when they manage to spell half the email wrong, and the smart ass sarcastic wants to correct them to prove a point but the passive side can’t be assed, it is rather amusing to be fair. Ahh thank you and no this hasn’t gotten to me, got fed up of ignoring or responding to emails so thought sod it I’ll stick it in a blog post, I finding rather interesting how people can judge others, or tell them how their blog should be, they have no right to step others property and tell them how their garden should be arranged so they have no write to tell me how my blog should be. Really don’t give a flying fuck if it’s not up to their standards, they know where the unfollow button is. Anyway thank you for your support don’t be annoyed I’m not x

      • I suppose you can take the solace that your blog is getting read. That is actually out there as a presence. You find that people.who are emailing about grammer and style actually like the context and the message of the piece but want you to “write it better” so they can enjoy it without seeing “flaws”.
Well you’ve done a great thing with this take the nuisance and make it art. You’re stronger than me, I’d just run away if I started getting emails. You’ve got one of my favourite blogs it’s quintessential you that little fireball of passion and light with a head filled with madness both good and bad. You should start replied to those messages with the simple phrase “Ka-block” and be done with them. You’re here to express yourself not a spelling and grammar test.
I won’t be annoyed but I still hate people!

Hey girl. Ignore those haters! Your grammar/punctuation, I have found to be very good. I’m guilty myself of having errors in my work, I swear I catch most of them after I have published, it always seems to work out that way. This is your blog in the end. We can strive for better, but we also need to remind ourselves, it’s our own space to be creative and if others don’t like it too bad. The hate mail sounds bad, I’d make sure your email addy is only available to those you choose to tell. Otherwise, have a contacts page for the general public to contact you by. Hope things go better, it’s not you, it’s them.

    • Hello thank you, and i agree with you this is our own space, not for others to wipe their shoes on. And I find it rather amusing and pathetic to be fair. But it’s life, and beauty isn’t always perfect sometime the imperfections can add more beauty. Thank you for your support as always xx

  10. I too, have had critics….”there should be a comma here….there should be a semi-colon there.” My response? Shut the fuck up and just read it. I’m not writing a theses….I’m simply writing about my life.

I’m so glad you write, and you do it well. Deep expression doesn’t always come from perfectly punctuated verses, but from the grit of the moment. It’s an imperfect life, expressed best in imperfect wording. Words are spirit and best expressed in a form of real emotion.
