Do you ever feel?

Do you ever feel like
Running away?
Far over the fields
Forgetting yesterday.
Do you ever feel like
You’re living a dream?
Turning into a nightmare
No one can hear you scream.
Do you ever feel like
Being alone?
Shutting yourself away
With thoughts to roam.
Do you ever feel like
You don’t fit in?
People don’t understand
So you shelter within.
Do you ever feel like
life is a game?
Are you winning or losing,
Does anyone feel the same?

Most days feel some or even all of this … if I let myself be me and not someone else’s expectation …

  2. This is very well done. Keep it up! 🙂

By the way, I have to mention this, in reference to these lines:
    “Do you ever feel like
    You’re living a dream?
    Turning into a nightmare
No one can hear you scream.”

This very thing is why I’m not scared of my nightmares anymore. I’m just so accustomed to the feeling that nightmares don’t bother me. Maybe that’s a bad thing?

Beautiful. Life’s not a competition,it feels that way but it’s not. You just don’t be best you can for you, let others worry about competing and trying to win. To be honest, we all end up in that graveyard (sorry to be depressing), it matters not who won in life.

  6. Yes! 😔😧
You shouldnt think running is weakness it’s smart, we all have fight or flight for survival. Sometimes to survive we need to flee so we have the power to fight when we’ve no choice to survive.
Just don’t run from us we all think your awesome. Just be care of that weird glittery Scottish one that guy is creepy. 😉

Yes. We all feel this way
    At some point everyday
Sometimes, we want to fly away
Or hide ourselves in the clay
Sometimes, we don’t want to play
    Keeping ourselves at bay
    But, nay!
    Life isn’t a game
And we’ll never feel the same
    No winner, No loser
So, look within; a little closer
Then you’ll see; not just a dream
But peace and joy, flowing like a stream
    ☺

The human mind is quite complex,
Conditioned from youth, it’s hard to flex,
When patterns get set, like drying cement,
“Change is tough”, you surely vent.

So bring the jackhammer, and chip away,
At the hardened patterns you follow each day.
Then plan the course, and plan the play,
You’d like to follow, the rest of your days.

You are in charge, so don’t deny,
That change is tough, but but you can fly,
Just take small steps, then flap your wings,
And get some height, to see new things.

You make the choice, what’s good or bad,
Embrace the joy, throw out the sad,
Arrange your days with open arms,
And let life in, enjoy its charms.

Yes, I feel like this more often than most people who see me would ever guess. You describe it perfectly.

You’ve said it beautifully. I’ll be short and sweet, for a change! My reply? Yes! 🙂

I don’t understand your background. But I do understand your pain, where it comes from, and why one keeps coming back around to it until it resolves. I even understand how to resolve it, and am willing to share that with you if you’re ever interested.
