Surrounded…

Many people,
So very loud,
Losing myself,
In an unbearable
Crowd.
An overwhelming
Feeling,
As the heart
Starts screeching,
Senses reaching
Full Height.
Pushing through
A crowd,
Turns into a fight.
fighting for sanity,
Hitting rock
Bottom,
This is my
Reality.
Being surrounded
By people,
Surrounded by
A world of evil.

You build up the anxiety perfectly to give us a sense of how this might feel. Wonderful.

I have social anxiety. Big crowds are overwhelming to me. You made me feel that feeling I have in big crowds with your words. That’s AMAZING. You really captured that sense.

Interesting poem. I think this character has anxiety in crowds. I can relate some, the noise really bothers me after a while, wears me out in some instances. But your last line caught me “surrounded by evil” like maybe it was more that she opulent trust all the people in the crowd which were surrounding her. She felt trapped because somewhere in this crowd, were very bad people.
