Tonight started out good
But I’ve started tripping again,
Someone mixed up my drink
With some kind of hallucinogen.
Like Alice in Wonderland syndrome
It’s messing with my perception,
The rooms are changing in size
Whilst unicorns block the reception.
The floor is spinning in circles
The walls are closing in
Fairies are stripping on the chandelier
Whilst spiders are crawling up my skin.
It went from one extreme to another
“Have one more drink” she said
I didn’t think I’d be slaying monsters
Trying to decapitate my head.
Kicked out by the queen of hearts
Straight into a taxi with a killer clown,
Collapsing on my bed in disbelief
This is going to be one hell of a comedown.

Australia. Summer and damn hot. Got to get my cat to her annual check up today. Always violent and always ends with a vet trying to explain that all animals love them. Tortoise shell cat.

I’m glad it didn’t actually happen. Too many guys do that now a days. Glad it was just a poetic messed up trip in wonderland and not a real one. I love how wonderland is such a world wide symbol for so many things, for situations and places we don’t understand, to the macabre and frightening, hallucinations and dreams. You show this very well. It would indeed be a big “come down.” All of the sudden being in a reality which makes sense!
