Now and then

I write for you
As I write for me,
To say the words
I barely breathe.
My voice is weak
I can only scream,
My life has been
One fucked up dream.
I’m finally awake
No longer caged,
I’m full of experience
I’ve grown with age.
Time has passed
I’ve faced reality,
I’m stronger now
But I’m not yet free.

  9. Wisdom of experience can free the caged beast and allow it to frolic. A very encouraging piece to a younger reader who can realise that with time and experience you will become the strength you need to be.
Powerful stuff, I really like it!
