Garden of evil

Walked into a storm
It started as a dream,
I had slid down a path
Into a lava stream.
Climbed up a hill
Which felt like death,
Nothing could be heard
Except fear in my breath.
I could only look down
At this deathly hollow,
The fear in my throat
Was difficult to swallow.
Fires burned bright
As souls changed form,
From life to death
In a blink of a storm.
This was no dream
But a nightmare,
There was no light or hope
Just pain and scare.
Winged monsters flew
There were no people,
I had woken in a garden
In the garden of evil.

  4. Reads like a painting by Hieronymus Bosch … lots of potential and well worth continuing .. though it will also stand as a stand alone.

And you turned to a page, all white and bright. And wrote of your horror, to bring it into the light.
And there it shone, for others to read. For horror can be lightened, when you share the screed.
