Pandora’s box

I dreamed I was searching
For Pandora’s box,
Buried in an abyss
Of darkness and rocks.
Whilst searching
I was tortured by pain,
Of a thousand souls
Hell was unable to contain
In all this torture
I was approached by hope,
It was anchored to my life
And I was the rope.
It was not just chaos
There was light,
It came from inside me
And it was peaceful and bright.
After the tests and trials
Wisdom remained,
I stood strong
Well balanced and trained.
In all these lessons
I stumbled on a cave,
Pandoras box had been opened
And the world was its slave.

  3. Katrina,
Great metaphor use. I was thinking about how hope anchored you as you fell into the cave.
Funny how our drives will steer us blindly into dangerous area.
    Really enjoyed this one!
